Assistant Building Surveyor
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association, who are recruiting an Assistant Building Surveyor on a permanent contract. The position is due to start immediately and is on a full-time basis. The salary is £40,236.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have experience in building surveying, building maintenance, or a related property environment and have an HNC/HND qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
Duties
- Support the delivery of regional repairs, maintenance, disrepair and void property programmes, ensuring works are completed effectively and efficiently
- Conduct property inspections, identify and diagnose defects, and prepare detailed reports, specifications and accurate cost estimates
- Monitor and manage contractor performance, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, colleagues, contractors and key stakeholders, providing a high standard of customer service throughout the process

Experience Required
- Experience in building surveying, building maintenance or a related property environment
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise Required
- HNC/HND qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline

Working Hours
- 35 hours per week
