Assistant Buyer
CCG is one of Scotland’s leading privately-owned construction and manufacturing groups. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer to join our Buying Department based at our Head Office in Cambuslang.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to support the procurement of materials and services across a diverse range of construction projects whilst developing a long-term career within a successful and growing organisation.
SALARY: Dependent on skills and experience.
HOURS: Full-time, Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm. Core flexible hours available.

LOCATION: 1 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang Investment Park, Glasgow, G32 8NB.
DEPARTMENT: Buying Department.
STATUS: Permanent.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Buyer, the successful candidate will support the Buying Team in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials, plant and services, whilst maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Assisting with the procurement of construction materials and plant hire.
- Obtaining and assessing supplier quotations.
- Raising purchase orders and maintaining procurement records.
- Liaising with suppliers, site teams and commercial staff.
- Monitoring deliveries and supplier performance.
- Supporting cost-effective purchasing decisions across multiple projects.
- Producing reports and procurement information as required.
