Overview
At Mamas & Papas, we believe while parents come in many different forms, every parent wants to fully embrace the miracle of having a baby and be a great parent.
Our Purpose is to inspire and support parents in becoming the best parents they can be: confident, capable, and loving life with their little ones.
The pride, care, and attention to detail we put into the products we design, create and bring to life means this role plays such an important part in seeing them come to life through product development, material sourcing and a keen eye for detail and a creative flair.
Through the wonderful news that a member of the team has a baby on the way, we are therefore looking to recruit an ASSISTANT BUYER to join our fabulous Clothing buying team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
If you come from a consumer goods/FMCG buying background, with experience in clothing and would like to work for a forward thinking, future conscious organisation (voted finalists for “Happiest Retailer to Work For” by Retail Week 2024), then take those amazing first steps to APPLY TODAY.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
