Bristol / Avonmouth HQ | Hybrid working (2–3 days in the office)

We’re looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our commercial team, supporting the Costume Jewellery category. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their buying career who wants to work on creative, customer-led product ranges in a fast-moving global retail business.
From trend-led gifting to bespoke jewellery collections designed for life at sea, this role offers the chance to work on products customers buy to celebrate, remember and enjoy their travels.

The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional Assistant Buyer role. You’ll support the Buyer in shaping commercial and customer-focused ranges across Custom Jewellery & Gifting, helping ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time across our international fleet.
You’ll be involved in the full buying cycle, from product selection and supplier communication through to launch planning, reporting and performance analysis. You’ll work with a wide range of internal teams and external partners, helping bring new ideas to life while maintaining excellent standards of delivery and execution.

Typical Areas Of Focus Will Include
- Supporting product development and range selection
- Researching trends, competitors and customer preferences
- Managing supplier communication and critical paths
- Supporting cost prices, margins and commercial performance
- Producing reports, trade updates and sales analysis
- Ensuring product data, pricing and systems are accurate
- Working closely with Merchandising, Operations and Finance teams

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a Buying Assistant, Assistant Buyer or similar product/commercial role
- Interest in jewellery, gifting, accessories or trend-led retail products
- Relevant qualification in fashion, product development, buying or similar
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Commercial awareness with an interest in sales and margin performance
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator who builds strong working relationships
- Able to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
- Proactive, curious and keen to learn
- Positive team player who enjoys a collaborative environment
