Job Description:

Support the implementation of procurement strategies and take responsibility where allocated.

Support SRM activities to drive commodity strategies creation and cost reduction plans.

Identify and develop new supply chains as required to support business objectives.

Contribute to producing commercial modelling and pricing proposals.

Maintaining close working relationships with the cross-functional teams.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing quotation requests from the client on a daily basis in line with SLA
  • Management and organisation of the purchasing mailbox, solving queries and escalating to the buyers where appropriate.
  • Preparation of enquiries and coordination of responses from supplier.
  • Administrative duties that support the Purchasing team in delivering key business objectives and maintain the efficiency of the Purchasing function.
  • Support the operational supply function with problem resolution within the supply chain as appropriate.
  • Assist the buyers in ensuring client requests are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Expediting quotes with new and existing suppliers
  • Ownership of delegated tasks through to completion
  • Management of suppliers and cost reduction projects with support provided
  • Providing actionable summary information to the buyers
  • Develop value-adding relationships with cross-functional departments and suppliers.
  • Identification of process improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Confident and effective communicator to all stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy, especially strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and able to analyse data.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Proactive and self-driven.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise workload accordingly.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and processes.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Commercial analysis.
  • Professional and ethical in approach.
  • Results driven.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced purchasing department or similar environment
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers and customers.
  • Customer Focused.

  • Experience building supplier relationships.
  • Strong team ethic.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
