Rather than chasing every trend and launching hundreds of products each season, this brand takes a more considered approach. Their furniture ranges are premium, thoughtfully developed, and beautifully designed.
You'll work with a wonderfully supportive Buyer who is keen to help you develop. As you grow into the role you’ll take over small sub-categories, the timeline of how quickly that happens is down to you and how much experience you bring to the role. Either way it's a great next step on the Buying ladder.
The team is based in a very accessible West London office in walking distance of two underground lines. This is a hybrid working role - 3 days office, 2 days from home.
THE ROLE
- Working closely with the Buyer, you'll support the day-to-day running of the Furniture category.
- Support range reviews and product development from concept through to launch.
- Keep the critical path on track across multiple products.
- Own and maintain accurate range plans, keeping product, pricing and range information up to date.
- Keep an eye on competitor activity, new products and wider market trends, feeding back relevant insight and ideas.
- Build strong working relationships across Merchandising, Design and the wider business
- Work closely with UK, EU and FE suppliers plus occasional supplier visits.
- Support a Buying Assistant, helping to coordinate the day-to-day administration of the category.
- As you develop, you’ll take ownership of small sub-categories, gradually building your skills and gaining more responsibility within the department.

ABOUT YOU
- You could have experience as a Buying Assistant, Assistant Buyer, Junior Buyer or similar. Titles can vary from one retailer to another but either way you'll have built good foundations in Buying with a good understanding of the buying process, product development cycles and critical path.
- Furniture experience would be a big bonus but it isn't essential for this role. If you've worked across other homeware categories and have an interest in furniture, that would be brilliant.
- You’ll need to be able to travel into the West London office 3 days a week.
