Assistant CDM Consultant

We are recruiting an Assistant CDM Consultant to join our established Health & Safety team, supporting the delivery of CDM Principal Designer and Health & Safety advisory services to clients across a wide range of sectors within the built environment. This is an entry-level position and is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in construction health and safety and CDM consultancy. Full support, supervision, and on-the-job training will be provided by experienced consultants.

Although you are not expected to have significant industry experience, you should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of construction health and safety and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM). This knowledge may have been gained through education, qualifications, work experience, placements, apprenticeships, or previous employment within the construction industry.

The role is primarily office-based but will involve regular travel to client offices, design team meetings, and construction sites.

What You Will Do In This Role

Client and Pre-Construction Support

  • Assist clients in gathering, reviewing, and collating Pre-Construction Information (PCI).
  • Support the preparation and distribution of Pre-Construction Information documentation for project teams and duty holders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
