Overview

At STEM for Kids UK, we are inspiring children aged 5-15 through exciting, hands-on STEM experiences. We are looking for an Assistant Centre Coordinator to work directly under our current Centre Coordinator, ensuring that every session feels welcoming, professional, and memorable. You will be a reassuring face at our Buckhurst Hill centre and the point of contact parents turn to. This is not a teaching or technical STEM role; it is an opportunity to support a growing children's centre and make a genuine difference to families every week.

Schedule and Commitment

This is a part-time role requiring a commitment of approximately 10 hours per week. The schedule includes:

  • One weekend day: Either Saturday or Sunday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (6 hours).
  • One weekday evening: Either Wednesday or Thursday evening (approximately 4 hours).

Your working days will be agreed upon before you join and will remain consistent each week.

What You'll Do

Working alongside and reporting to the Centre Coordinator, you will share the following responsibilities:

  • Act as a first point of contact for parents, answering enquiries and ensuring every family feels valued and supported.
  • Assist in coordinating the smooth running of classes, bookings, attendance, and day-to-day centre operations.
  • Prepare classrooms and resources so instructors can focus on delivering fantastic sessions.
  • Welcome children and families, helping to create a warm, safe, and professional environment from the moment they arrive.
  • Capture photos and short videos during sessions for use on our social media channels, strictly following safeguarding and consent guidelines.
  • Help maintain high standards of presentation, organisation, safeguarding, and health & safety across the centre.
  • Support the organisation of trial sessions, holiday camps, and centre events to ensure every visitor has a memorable experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
