You're not short on service instinct. You're short on a seat that lets you build from it. The best assistant managers we meet aren't lacking capability. They've mastered the daily rhythm, built the client relationships, kept the standards high. But privately, they know they're ready for the next step, and their current seat won't give it to them. If you read that and felt something, keep reading. This is the seat that hands it to you.

WHO WE ARE

Blue Gem operates some of London's most premium workspaces. We design, build and run beautiful, hospitality-led buildings where the UK's most discerning companies choose to work. Our standards are uncompromising. Our brand is built on detail. We're growing fast, and we're opening new buildings.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Your first real step into management at one of our Central London centres, supporting the Centre Manager and learning to run a building yourself. £35,000 to £40,000 base, plus up to 25% site bonus. This is a genuine springboard seat. You'll work alongside an experienced Centre Manager at a smaller, close-knit site where you'll touch every part of the operation. Learn by doing, with real responsibility from day one. No endless admin. No being stuck in the back office. This is hands-on management where you're visible, present, and building the skills to run your own centre. We're not looking for someone from the serviced office industry. We're looking for the right person. The systems, the standards, the operational mechanics, all of it can be taught. Character, warmth and work ethic cannot. This is an assistant seat with a clear path up.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the centre alongside the Centre Manager.
  • Daily walkrounds and maintaining our premium standards.
  • Building real relationships with a close set of clients.
  • Helping lead and motivate a team of up to five.
  • Coordinating with landlord and building management on facilities.
  • Being the friendly, reliable face of Blue Gem to everyone who walks through the door.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We hire based on character and service instinct, not sector experience. The mechanics of running a building are real, but they are learnable. What we cannot teach is warmth, reliability, and the kind of standards-pride that makes clients feel truly looked after.

If you're naturally service-minded, ready to step up, and eager to learn, we can build the rest with you.

  • Warm and client-first, giving every client a friendly, attentive experience.
  • Well organised, staying on top of daily tasks and requests.
  • A natural team player who supports those around them.
  • Standards-proud, taking pride in keeping the centre immaculate.
  • Ready to step up, with a couple of years behind you and hunger for management.
  • Present and professional, reflecting our premium brand.

  • Above and Beyond. Devoted to deliver, we take ownership, responsibility, and are empowered to make decisions.

WHY AMBITIOUS PEOPLE JOIN US

  • A clear progression path. Assistant Centre Manager to Centre Manager is a real, achievable step.
  • Thorough, supportive development. Training delivered at the pace that suits you, not thrown in the deep end.
  • Flagship Central London buildings. You'll work somewhere you're genuinely proud of.
  • A genuine team culture. Events, lunches, and people who look out for each other.
  • Fast growth, real opportunity. A business opening new buildings means genuine room to climb.

WHERE THIS ROLE GOES

You'll work directly with an experienced Centre Manager who'll teach you the ropes at a pace that works for you. Smaller site, close-knit team, real responsibility from day one. And the path is clear: Assistant Centre Manager to Centre Manager. We love to promote from within, with 30% of our roles filled by internal promotion.
