Civil Design Engineer - Highways & Drainage

Location: London
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

Civil Design Engineer - London

We are currently looking for a Civil Design Engineer with 2+ years' experience across highways and drainage design to join a well-established, award-winning and employee-owned consultancy in London.

The business has a strong reputation within the development sector, working closely with some of the UK's major developers to deliver civil infrastructure solutions across large-scale development projects.

The Role

  • You'll join a close-knit London team and work across development-led highways and drainage projects, gaining exposure from early feasibility and planning through to detailed design and delivery.
  • Design highways, roads and drainage infrastructure for large residential and mixed-use developments.
  • Produce detailed design information and technical drawings for development schemes.
  • Work alongside developers, architects, planners and wider multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Support projects through the planning and technical approval process and into detailed design and delivery.
  • Take increasing responsibility for your own projects as your experience develops.
  • Work closely with experienced engineers in a supportive team environment.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years' experience within civil engineering consultancy.
  • Experience in both highways and drainage design.
  • Experience working on development-led infrastructure projects.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant UK design standards and approval processes.
  • Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage or similar.
  • A proactive approach with good communication skills and a genuine interest in developing your career.
