Post Title: Assistant Clinical Director Paediatric Dentistry (Band C)
Service: Public Dental Service (PDS)
Base: Stobhill Hospital Oral Health Directorate Offices and various locations throughout PDS
Fixed Term: 12 months
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30 - 4.30pm
Salary Grade: £100,715 - £106,726
Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to the post of Assistant Clinical Director (Paediatric Dentistry) within the Public Dental Service in NHS GG&C. The successful candidate will be involved in the development and delivery of primary care dental services to Paediatric patients, some with complex needs, within the health board area and provide clinical leadership to the Paediatric Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the delivery of care to those accessing paediatric dentistry whether registered, unregistered, or on referral from General Dental Practitioners, Health Care Workers, or secondary care services.
- Involve 3 sessions of administration duties and 7 sessions of clinical cover as a Senior Dental Officer.
- Participate in the under graduate and post graduate training programmes.
- Improve access using innovative approaches and creative thinking to bolster care.
- Engage in regular contact with a range of partners including Glasgow University and secondary care colleagues.
