Assistant Clinical Psychologist – Band 5

Part Time - 30 hours per week, permanent

We have an exciting vacancy for a part-time (30 hours per week) Assistant Clinical Psychologist to work within our very welcoming and friendly, research active, large and ever-growing North Staffs Neuropsychology (NSN) team. The postholder will work at The Bennett Centre, within our Neurocommunity and long-COVID outpatient services, employed by North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, a CQC-rated ‘Outstanding’ Mental Health Trust. There is some flexibility to allow home working at times, depending on service need. The post holder will receive weekly clinical supervision from a senior, principal or consultant psychologist/neuropsychologist, and be part of a large, supportive team of psychologists. There is opportunity for teaching, research, clinical audit and CPD.

  • Providing structured interventions under the supervision of a Psychologist/Neuropsychologist
  • Working with people who have complex needs which can present/lead to challenging situations or behaviours and risk.
  • Assistance with service development and evaluation
  • Supporting psychologists to offer group interventions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
