About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and practical Assistant Collection Manager: Care & Access to join the Middle East Department. About the department

The Department of the Middle East covers the ancient and contemporary civilisations and cultures of the Middle East from the Neolithic period until the present, including a wide range of archaeological material and art. The department is currently in the first stages of a wide-ranging documentation and digitisation project, this drive was announced by the museum in 2023. As well as focusing on key documentation, auditing and storage projects, successful candidates will support our busy programme of gallery rotations.

About you

We're looking for someone with a genuine enthusiasm for museum collections and a practical, solutions-focused approach to collections management. You will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safeguarding cultural heritage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
