Your new role
As an Assistant Company Secretary, you will play a key role in supporting a portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring compliance with statutory and governance requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring statutory filings and company records are maintained accurately and on time
- Maintaining and updating company registers
- Drafting board minutes and corporate documentation
- Acting as a point of contact for client and colleague queries
- Managing correspondence from third parties and regulatory bodies
- Supporting corporate transactions, including share-related matters
- Assisting with governance projects and company secretarial assignments
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members where required
- Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have previous company secretarial experience and a strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance requirements.
You will ideally have:
- CGI qualification, be studying towards it, or possess equivalent company secretarial experience
- Experience maintaining statutory records and making Companies House filings
- Knowledge of share transactions and corporate governance matters
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and client-focused approach
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience using company secretarial software such as Diligent would be advantageous
