The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly organised and professional Assistant Company Secretary to support the delivery of effective governance across SRUC. Working closely with the Company Secretary, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the organisation’s governance framework.

The role provides comprehensive secretariat and administrative support to the Board, its Committees and the Executive Leadership Team. You will coordinate meetings, prepare and manage governance papers, produce accurate and high-quality minutes, and maintain corporate records to ensure governance activities are delivered efficiently and professionally.

You will also support compliant and transparent governance practices through effective records management and the administration of Freedom of Information requests. Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion, you will help ensure robust governance processes are maintained while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applicants must hold a qualification at SCQF Level 6–7 (or an equivalent practical experience) and have achieved passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of literacy and numeracy to effectively carry out the requirements of the role, including written communication, comprehension of information, and accurate handling of numerical data.
  • Equivalent qualifications and relevant experience will be considered where appropriate.
