Join a leading Corporate & Speciality Insurance business with a strong international presence and an established reputation within the insurance market. We are seeking an Assistant Compliance Manager to join the Regulatory Compliance team, supporting the Senior Compliance Manager across a broad range of advisory and compliance projects.
This is a varied role, where you will act as a key point of contact for business queries, helping to triage and provide practical guidance on regulatory matters, while also supporting on wider initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Compliance Manager with the delivery of Compliance plans and regulatory obligations.
- Acting as a key point of contact for compliance queries.
- Providing guidance on FCA and PRA requirements, sanctions and licensing matters.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and carrying out horizon scanning.
- Assessing regulatory changes and communicating their impact to the wider business.
- Maintaining compliance policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Supporting compliance monitoring activity and conducting thematic reviews.
- Maintaining the Compliance Calendar and ensuring key regulatory deadlines are met.
- Supporting the delivery of compliance training.
- Assisting with regulatory communications, reporting and governance.
- Monitoring and reporting compliance incidents and breaches.
- Working closely with underwriting to promote a strong compliance culture.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working within a UK Compliance function.
- Experience within the Insurance sector is highly desirable.
- Experience within sanctions and licensing.
- Experience dealing with regulatory bodies such as the FCA, PRA or Financial Ombudsman Service.
- Strong understanding of the UK regulatory framework.
- Experience with compliance monitoring, regulatory change or horizon scanning.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across different areas of a business.
