A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT CONFERENCE & EVENTS MANAGER

As Assistant Conference & Events Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering flawless, energetic, and stylish events. From intimate meetings to large-scale celebrations, you’ll ensure everything runs smoothly with a dynamic approach, ensuring each event feels uniquely crafted. Working closely with the Conference & Events Manager, you’ll help lead the team, ensure top-notch service, and contribute to a seamless experience that impresses clients and guests alike.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in delivering all events with precision and style, from business meetings to large corporate functions and private parties.
  • Coordinate logistics and support the team in ensuring events run flawlessly, with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Assist in managing suppliers, ensuring all external partners meet our high standards and contribute to the success of each event.
  • Lead by example, maintaining a polished and energetic atmosphere, making sure the team is always motivated, stylish, and engaged in creating extraordinary experiences.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams, ensuring the food and drink service is executed seamlessly, on time, and at a high standard.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, ensuring smooth operations and guest safety at all times.
  • Support the Conference & Events Manager in maintaining budgets and event cost control, tracking expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Bring a confident, bold personality to every event, making sure each one is memorable, full of energy, and reflects the unique atmosphere of The Met Hotel.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Assistant Conference & Events Manager, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Previous experience as a supervisor or a similar role within a large venue or hotel.
  • A strong, confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about creating polished, well-crafted experiences that stand out.
  • A proactive, dynamic individual who’s comfortable managing a variety of events and is quick to adapt to new challenges.
  • An energetic, vibrant leader with a flair for style and attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for the hospitality industry, with a love for delivering experiences that leave a lasting impression.
