We are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Credit Controller to join a major London public-sector organisation on an interim basis.

Key requirement: The role will initially focus on cash posting and bank reconciliation, before moving back into broader credit control activities once cash is stabilised.

Key Details

  • Contract: 18th Dec 2026
  • Location: Victoria Station House (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)/ 2 Days WFH
  • Rate: £192.92 PAYE / £262.50 Umbrella
  • Start: ASAP

Role

  • Post and allocate cash and reconcile bank statements
  • Investigate and resolve unallocated cash
  • Support credit control and collection of overdue debt
  • Run credit checks and monitor customer accounts
  • Handle queries and support dispute resolution
  • Maintain accurate records using SAP / ERP systems

Requirements

  • Cash posting and bank reconciliation experience (essential)
  • Credit control / accounts receivable experience (essential)
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Good communication and stakeholder skills
  • SAP / ERP system knowledge (desirable)
  • Experience in a large, complex or public sector environment (desirable)
