  • Be proactive and anticipate guests needs, to ensure all correspondence in connection with reservations and deal with it accordingly.
  • To be fully conversant with the facilities, service, and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guests whenever the possibility arises in order to maximize hotel sales.
  • To work in accordance with the rooms and rate strategy and ensure that all SOP comply with any revenue/finance audit.
  • Develop a good working relationship with all departments in the hotel.
  • To show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary.
  • Support the Reservations office during any staffing shortfall by taking on additional tasks and projects.

What We Need From You

To succeed in the role of Assistant Customer Sales Manager (maternity cover), you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Communication & interpersonal skills: a high standard of written and verbal English is essential, with the ability to build long-lasting relationships with clients and suppliers. As well as the ability to build strong relationships with leaders, peers, and associates in the hotel and wider Marriott network.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated person with excellent written and verbal communication skills and team spirit
  • Computer literacy and Opera PMS knowledge is essential
  • Take pride in what you do
  • A team player
  • Able to demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Marriott Operating systems knowledge is desirable, but not essential
