Job Description Summary
Assistant Data Analyst
Location: Open to anywhere in the UK
The Assistant Data Analyst will play a key role in analysing data quality and transforming data into actionable insights through the development and maintenance of automated reports and visual dashboards. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, data operations teams, and markets to ensure data quality metrics are effectively monitored, analysed, and communicated.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient in Power BI, with the ability to interpret data findings and translate them into clear, impactful visualisations and insights.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis, Reporting and Visualisation
- Develop and maintain automated reports on key data quality metrics, including completeness checks, range thresholds, null value reduction rates, and duplicate records tracking.
- Design and publish Power BI dashboards for stakeholders and markets to visualise trends and highlight actionable insights.
- Analyse data quality results to identify patterns, trends, and areas requiring further investigation.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the Data Quality Assurance Manager to align analysis and reporting outputs with strategic goals.
- Partner with the Data Operations team to ensure accurate and timely data correction and processing.
- Regularly present findings to stakeholders, providing clear narratives around data trends and potential areas for improvement.

Monitoring and Analysis
- Track and report on pre- and post-notification data corrections to measure the effectiveness of alerts.
- Identify trends in data errors and suggest strategies for improvement.
- Ensure analysis and reporting outputs meet agreed-upon timelines and quality standards.
System and Process Improvement
- Continuously improve analysis and reporting workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Provide feedback on DQA Hub configurations to ensure alignment with data analysis and reporting needs.
Key Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Real Estate, Research, or a related field (not essential).
- Experience in a research, data analysis, reporting, or data visualisation role is desirable.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Power BI, with the ability to develop reports and dashboards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with data quality management processes is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
