Assistant Practice Manager | Tupsley Dental Practice | Hereford

Are you ready to take the next step in your dental career? Tupsley Dental Practice is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and people-focused Assistant Practice Manager to join our established private practice in Hereford.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already understands exceptional patient care and is ready to develop their leadership and management skills within a successful, supportive practice.

Working closely with our experienced Practice Manager, you'll become an important part of the leadership team, supporting the day-to-day running of the practice, contributing ideas and taking ownership of projects that help the practice continue to grow.

We're looking for someone who is naturally organised, builds great relationships and enjoys finding ways to make things work better.

About The Role

No two days will be the same. You'll be involved in supporting the team, improving patient journeys, contributing to practice development and helping ensure the day-to-day operation runs smoothly.

You'll also have the opportunity to step up as Duty Manager when required, giving you valuable leadership experience.

A key part of the role will be helping us create a seamless patient journey. You'll work closely with our reception and clinical teams to ensure patients feel supported, treatment is followed up appropriately and our diaries are used effectively.

You'll have the opportunity to get involved in:

  • Supporting the Practice Manager with the day-to-day running of the practice
  • Acting as Duty Manager when required
  • Supporting the team with operational challenges
  • Improving the patient journey and experience
  • Supporting patients through their treatment journey
  • Following up outstanding treatment and supporting patient engagement
  • Supporting recall and patient reactivation initiatives
  • Coordinating more complex patient journeys involving different clinicians or appointments
  • Supporting Open Days, marketing activity and patient communications
  • Developing our social media presence
  • Supporting staff onboarding, training and development
  • Assisting with compliance, audits and practice improvement projects
  • Supporting practice administration and correspondence
  • Monitoring practice performance and helping turn insights into positive action

Could This Be You?

You might already be working as an Assistant Practice Manager, Treatment Coordinator, Dental Nurse with leadership experience, or another dental professional ready to take the next step.

Previous dental experience would be strongly preferred. We're particularly interested in someone who is:

  • Warm, approachable and confident
  • Naturally organised and able to manage competing priorities
  • Proactive and comfortable taking ownership
  • Comfortable talking to patients and building genuine relationships
  • A positive influence within a team
  • Commercially aware and interested in practice development
  • A natural problem-solver
  • Keen to learn and develop their management skills
  • Passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience
