Company Description

Vintage Sofa Co. is a family-run furniture company based at the historic Jowler Mill in the industrial South Pennines. The showroom offers a curated range of vintage sofas, chairs, footstools, rugs, and other home furnishings. By upcycling premium clearance “end of line” velvets, leather hides, and Harris Tweed from high-end brands, the company creates distinctive vintage-style pieces with sustainable appeal. The showroom is located in the steep-sided Luddenden Valley, between Hebden Bridge, Haworth, and Halifax, in a characterful setting that reflects the company’s unique aesthetic and commitment to quality.

Role Description

The Assistant Design Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Halifax, supporting the design and coordination of vintage furniture collections and showroom displays. This role assists with translating design concepts into practical plans, preparing and organizing design documentation, and coordinating with suppliers, craftspeople, and internal team members to ensure projects progress smoothly. The Assistant Design Coordinator helps manage material selections, tracks submittals and approvals, and supports quality checks for finishes and upholstery. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining design records, updating project timelines, contributing to layout and styling decisions in the showroom, and providing clear communication across the team to support efficient project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
