Assistant Design Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000/annum doe
Every Fuller's pub has its own personality. Whether we're carefully restoring a historic building or refreshing a well-loved local, thoughtful design plays a key role in creating spaces that our customers enjoy and our teams are proud to work in.
We are looking for an Assistant Design Manager to join our Estates team and help deliver refurbishment and development projects across our estate. Working alongside the Design Manager, you'll take ownership of the design process from brief through to completion, ensuring each project reflects the character of the pub while meeting the operational needs of the business.
This is a hands-on role that combines creativity with project coordination. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, designers, surveyors, Business Development Managers and suppliers to deliver high-quality schemes on time and within budget.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
