Set within a vibrant lakeside neighbourhood developed by St Edward, this community brings together 1,051 homes across 15 contemporary blocks with a gym, cinema, meeting rooms and generous landscaped green spaces. You’ll be part of a welcoming, family-friendly setting where residents value high standards, thoughtful service and a sense of community. With Reading Green Park station moments away, the development enjoys excellent links to the town centre, creating a dynamic day-to-day environment with steady footfall, varied resident needs and a broad range of on-site amenities to oversee.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You will support the Development Manager in the smooth, safe running of the estate, leading on resident engagement, contractor coordination and site standards. Your days will combine hands-on site presence, rigorous compliance checks and timely communication with residents, suppliers and the client. You’ll help ensure the development’s facilities and public realm are always at their best.

- Residents feel listened to, informed and delighted by swift, solution-focused responses.
- The site is consistently safe, compliant and immaculately presented across all blocks and communal areas.
- Contractors deliver to scope, on time and to quality standards, with clear work orders and RAMS in place.
- Accurate records, reports and compliance documentation are maintained and ready for audit at any time.
- Community engagement initiatives are well planned, well attended and strengthen resident satisfaction.
- Issues are anticipated and resolved proactively, with clear escalation and follow-through.

How You'll Spend Most Of Your Time
- Support the Development Manager with the day-to-day operational running of the estate and supervising the on-site team.
- Carrying out regular estate inspections and audits, raising actions and arranging remedial works.
- Coordinating contractors, reviewing RAMS, issuing permits to work and tracking PPMs and reactive tasks.
- Managing resident queries and complaints, keeping stakeholders informed from first response to resolution.
- Monitoring health and safety and statutory compliance, completing routine checks and recording incidents.
- Supporting security measures, including CCTV monitoring in line with GDPR and data protection.
- Maintaining accurate logs, contractor performance data and preparing reports for the Development Manager.

Experience That Helps
- Experience supporting the operations of a large residential development or mixed-use estate.
- Familiarity with health and safety, risk assessments, incident reporting and statutory checks.
- Coordinating multiple contractors, permits to work, PPM schedules and quality control.
- Handling resident communications, complaints and stakeholder updates with tact and pace.
- Using property or facilities management systems to manage work orders and compliance records.
