Provide strategic leadership and operational leadership for Adult Safeguarding and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), ensuring the Council fulfils its statutory responsibilities and delivers high-quality, person-centred and legally compliant practice
Lead a culture of continuous improvement using safeguarding intelligence, quality assurance, performance data, audit and learning to identify risk, improve practice and achieve better outcomes

The role will provide professional leadership and constructive challenge across Adult Social Care and partner agencies, ensuring learning is embedded, practice is consistently improved and the service is well prepared to demonstrate effective assurance to regulatory and statutory bodies. Engage with and develop effective partnerships within the local health and social care economy to maximise opportunities to enable adults to live independently and exercise choice and control over their lives.
