The Role
The Assistant Director of Digital Content & Creative Services is a senior leadership role within the firm's Marketing & Business Development organization, responsible for leading the strategy, development, production, and delivery of the firm's global digital content, creative services, brand experience, and multimedia communications platforms.
This role oversees an integrated, multidisciplinary team of approximately 20 professionals, including designers, writers, editors, social media specialists, web and digital professionals, podcast producers, video producers and editors, and technical creative staff.
As a senior leader within an AM Law 50 firm with revenues exceeding $1.6 billion, the Assistant Director will partner closely with firm leadership to modernize the firm's content and digital ecosystem while elevating the sophistication, consistency, and impact of the firm's global brand.
This is a highly forward-thinking and innovation-focused role that will lead the firm's exploration, adoption, governance, and strategic integration of AI-enabled technologies across content development, digital marketing, creative production, client engagement, and knowledge delivery.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic leadership & team management
- Lead and develop a global (~20) multidisciplinary Digital Content & Creative Services team spanning design, editorial, social, web, multimedia, and production.
- Set strategy, workflows, standards, and performance expectations; foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner cross-functionally to align digital and content initiatives with firm priorities.
- Serve as a senior adviser on content strategy, digital positioning, and brand storytelling.
Digital content & thought leadership
- Own global content strategy and integrated campaigns to drive client engagement, business development, and market reputation.
- Oversee multi-format thought leadership (publications, alerts, video, podcasts, social, digital-first content).
- Ensure alignment with firm priorities and market differentiation; identify opportunities with practices and sectors.
- Implement analytics frameworks to measure engagement, performance, and ROI.

AI, innovation & digital transformation
- Lead AI strategy across marketing, content, and creative services, driving personalisation, efficiency, and analytics.
- Establish governance and partner with IT and innovation functions to deploy emerging technologies.
- Drive transformation through automation, scalable workflows, and modern content systems.
- Monitor trends to position the firm as a leader in digital innovation.
Creative services & brand leadership
- Lead global creative and visual communications strategy; oversee high-impact campaigns.
- Safeguard and evolve brand identity (visual, tone of voice, messaging, UX) across all channels.
- Manage agencies and partners to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
Digital reputation & social strategy
- Lead digital reputation and social media strategy across platforms.
- Advise leadership on online positioning, SEO, and market perception.
- Implement performance tracking, audience insights, and competitive analysis.
- Support the launch of new digital and multimedia channels.
Multimedia, video & podcast production
- Oversee multimedia strategy including video, podcasts, webinars, and livestreams.
- Establish scalable production standards ensuring quality, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Leverage AI to enhance production efficiency and engagement.
Web, Digital Experience & Content Operations
- Lead digital experience across web and content platforms, improving UX, SEO, and functionality.
- Establish governance, workflows, and scalable content operations.
- Drive integration across CRM, analytics, and engagement systems.
Performance & operational excellence
- Build KPI-driven operations covering production, resource allocation, and delivery standards.
- Implement dashboards tracking output, responsiveness, utilisation, and engagement.
- Introduce scalable, agency-style operating models leveraging automation and AI.
Strategic priorities & transformation
- Modernise and scale global digital, content, and creative capabilities.
- Embed AI, improve efficiency and personalisation, and accelerate speed to market.
- Strengthen thought leadership and digital storytelling.
- Deliver a unified, consistent global brand experience.
- Build scalable infrastructure and enhance cross-functional collaboration.

Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or related certifications preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in digital marketing, content strategy, creative services, communications, or related fields.
- Significant experience within a law firm, professional services, corporate, media, agency, or global enterprise environment preferred.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary creative and digital teams.
