Your opportunity

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte's growing M&A Finance team that sits in SRTA. You will work on high profile assignments with some of the best in the field, across a wide variety of transactions covering equity capital markets, corporate mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, within a highly commercial, client focused environment.

Our M&A Finance team is a group of qualified accountants with a background in transactions who have successfully advised on some of the largest cross-border deals in recent years. We deploy experienced professionals with deep expertise of Finance as a function and M&A knowledge, who can own and drive the CFO’s capital agenda and related finance workstreams and be deployed across the transaction to meet the finance function aspirations. The team will work alongside client management and other advisers to protect value at deal completion and realise value post deal.

Typically, we operate alongside colleagues providing our clients with a multi-disciplinary and end-to-end transaction assist service which accesses Deloitte’s vast range of specialist expertise including M&A Tech, M&A People, merger integration or separation, modelling and analytics. We regularly work on international assignments involving cross-border as well as cross-service line teams requiring our people to build wide networks across both the UK and International firms.

We encourage consideration of flexible ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. If this opportunity is of interest to you with some flexibilities, please do discuss it with us.

Your role

You will primarily focus on providing clients with specialist M&A Finance advice, based on your track record of delivering and running finance related workstreams across a number of transactions, both international and domestic, including acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs, mergers and demergers. Crucially, you will be part of the deal leadership team on projects, assisting senior finance stakeholders to manage large and complex transactions from inception through to delivery on areas including but not limited to: designing finance operating models, stand-up and change management of finance operations, finance tech optionality and selection, calculating and benchmarking the cost of finance, finance change project management through the deal execution, identifying and implementing value creation opportunities through finance etc.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We support corporates, private equity and financial investors across the full M&A lifecycle and are committed to identifying and delivering sustainable value at every stage of the deal.
