Assistant Director of Admission (ADA) – Global Recruitment Role
As Assistant Director of Admission (ADAs), you’ll embark on an exciting journey, traveling the world to build lasting relationships with extraordinary students, families, educators, and counselors—highlighting how SCAD is the transformative destination that fuels futures and careers.
About the Role
As a vital part of SCAD’s No. 1-ranked university in the Americas and Europe, you will represent the institution to prospective students from a diverse range of schools, including public, private, and boarding institutions. Your key responsibilities include:
- Delivering compelling presentations in classroom settings and recruitment events,
- Facilitating one-on-one conversations with students and families,
- Connecting with educators during SCAD Educator Weekend, and
- Guiding students through every stage of their journey, from application to enrollment.
You’ll leverage your exceptional sales acumen and communication skills to establish meaningful connections, nurture relationships, and encourage school visits or applications. Your insights will be documented in Salesforce and via team records, ensuring a seamless and dynamic recruitment process.
Core Work
The role requires:
- FERA compliance knowledge to maintain ethical outreach,
- Direct engagement with record management software and strategic reporting,
- Collaboration with fellow SCADvocates to amplify recruitment initiatives, scholarship events, tours, and trainings,
- Assistance in maintaining the recruitment master calendar, identifying successes, and driving innovations for future strategies.

You will also serve as a pivotal point of contact for admitted students, ensuring their transition to enlistment runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
Critical duties include:
- Engaging prospective students and their families during classroom presentations, virtual meetings, fairs, and college tours.
- Fielding questions about SCAD programs, showcasing opportunities for career advancement, and drawing connections between students’ goals and university resources.
- Proactively outreaching through phone calls, emails, and personalized messages to spur interest in visiting SCAD.
- Maintaining accurate, organized data on student interactions within Salesforce and other platforms while flagging opportunities for recruitment enhancement.
- Representing SCAD as a team player who contributes to Educator Weekend, events, and team building activities.
- Providing leadership feedback to improve recruitment methodologies and outcomes.
- Collaborating with alumni and ambassador networks to share reasons students fall in love with SCAD long-term, influencing their future choices.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (any field),
- Extensive experience required in sales operations, holding a proven ability to connect with people effectively,
- A valid driver’s license (for domestic work) and passport (for international travel),
- Commitment to traveling extensively (~40 weeks annually), including varied and often unpredictable schedules.

Preferred Knowledge
- Familiarity with FERPA regulations and professional etiquette in student outreach,
- Sales experience with a track record of conversion and relationship-building,
- Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce (a plus),
- Desire for global travel and cross-cultural engagement with an open mind.
Travel & Hour Requirements
- More than 50% accrued travel (in-country, international),
- Unique work timeline (Sunday–Saturday), though core hours are traditionally 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with flexibility including nights, weekends, and other required periods.
