As an Assistant Director of Graduate Enrollment for SCADnow
Overview
As an assistant director of graduate enrollment for SCADnow – The University for Creative Careers’ signature online learning platform that offers on-the-go artists, designers, and professionals the best of both worlds in distance education – you’ll explain the unrivaled resources we offer to prospective students. On the admission team, you’ll work with prospective students to complete applications for review, advise on financial aid and scholarships, and communicate deadlines via phone, email, text, and Zoom.
Key Responsibilities
To support the university’s mission, preparing students for creative professions, you will:
- Travel to support off-campus events and other recruitment opportunities, including information sessions, meetings, accepted-student celebrations, high-school classroom or guidance visits, college fairs, and conferences
- Build relationships with applicants and their guardians by phone, email, social media, and handwritten correspondence throughout the admission and enrollment process
- Receive and effectively handle a large volume of daily incoming calls and emails from applicants, guardians, and school counselors to answer complex questions about university policies and requirements
- Discuss admission requirements by student type and enrollment timelines, prepare completed applications for admission review, and personally congratulate students on their acceptance
- Operate management systems; record and track applicant documents, individual contacts, and more; manage a daily telephone/Zoom appointment schedule via Calendly

As an advocate for prospective students, you will:
- Manage applicant files and prioritize outreach using reports, adviser ratings, and Pardot to identify “right-fit” students
- Complete data-driven outreach projects as assigned by admission leadership
- Serve as the primary financial aid contact for incoming students and their families; explain the federal aid process, cost of attendance, budgeting, and payment options; assist with verifications; and advocate for students seeking additional financial support
- Review portfolio and résumé submission guidelines along with other SCAD scholarship opportunities, including SCAD Challenge, state incentive scholarships, and other recognized achievements
- Stay informed about university policies and procedures to communicate accurate information about the school
Additionally, you will:
- Participate in webinars and support online chat sessions to reach students at various points throughout the admission cycle
- Cover two Live Agent shifts per month
- Assist with special events as needed, including SCAD DAYS, Spotlight Days, commencement, Summer Swarm, and orientation
- Prepare deposit-paid students for enrollment through proactive communication and encourage quarterly balance payments by the published due date
- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Able to work occasional evening and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Valid driver's license
Travel Required
- 10–20%
Work Hours
The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
