Assistant Director of Law - Litigation
The City of Cleveland Department of Law is seeking a civil litigation attorney to handle civil rights and general litigation. Representative caseload will include personal injury, property damage, breach of contract, taxpayer and mandamus actions, declaratory/injunctive relief, civil rights under 42 USC 1983, employment, plaintiff litigation and appeals.
Requirements
- Ohio Bar membership in good standing
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Experience handling civil cases in state and/or federal court
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to analyze complex issues of law
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Preferred experience includes insurance defense, plaintiff personal injury or civil rights litigation
