At Cartrefi, we are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities and autism and older people to live fulfilled and enriched lives in the community.
We’re looking for a strategic, experienced Assistant Director of Operations to lead our teams in South-West Wales.
Covering our services across Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, you will lead high-quality, person-centred services and act as the Responsible Individual, ensuring full compliance with the appropriate regulations.

Role: Assistant Director of Operations - South-West Wales
Location: Hybrid, based in one of our offices in Swansea, Carmarthen or Haverfordwest with frequent travel across the region as well as our other offices across Wales when required.
Hours: 37 hours a week
Salary: Up to £72,411 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent

Working with senior leaders, managers and external partners, you will strengthen regional performance, build trusted relationships and ensure effective workforce, quality, health and safety, and financial management.

What we’re looking for:
- QCF Level 5 or equivalent, in line with the Social Care Wales registration requirements for managers
- Significant management experience at a senior management level in the social care sector
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal business partners to achieve strategic and operational objectives
- Ability to travel flexibly to sites across Wales which may on occasion necessitate an overnight stay
Other Requirements
- Full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle - due to the travel involved in this role, the use of a car with appropriate business insurance will be required.
