Chaucer College is looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Studies (ADOS) to join our academic leadership team in Canterbury.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about educational quality, teacher development and creating an outstanding learning experience for international students.

Working closely with our Director of Studies, you will lead the day-to-day running of the teaching department, support and develop teachers, oversee lesson observations and CPD, contribute to syllabus development, and play an important role in maintaining the high standards expected of an accredited UK English language school.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Level 7 qualification in TESOL, Applied Linguistics or a related ELT field. TEFLQ
  • Strong English language teaching experience.
  • Experience in academic management or teacher supervision.
  • Confidence leading observations, appraisals and CPD.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
