Employment Type: Full-time, temporary 6 months with possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Classification: Senior Officer Grade C (PN 54976)

Salary: $127,597 - $136,873 (Plus 12.5% Super)

Location: Hume or Garran, ACT

Section: Procurement & Supply

About the Role:

The Procurement and Supply Team is seeking an Assistant Director of Procurement to join the team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to contribute to complex and high-value procurement activities within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

As the Assistant Director, you will be responsible for leading complex procurement initiatives across multiple projects and delivering expert procurement guidance to key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with CHS procurement protocols and relevant legislation. You will collaborate with business units to develop and maintain comprehensive procurement documentation, drive successful project outcomes, and foster strong professional relationships through your advanced stakeholder management and communication skills.

In this role, you will champion procurement best practices, demonstrate exceptional service delivery across all Supply Chain and Procurement functions, and undertake any additional responsibilities associated with the position.

The successful candidate will possess well-developed leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, along with comprehensive knowledge of procurement legislation and government procurement frameworks. You will have the ability to interpret and implement policy and procedural directions and bring previous experience working in procurement or a similar role.

We encourage applications from candidates with clinical experience, contract management experience, facilities management experience or other transferrable skills.

This position is being recruited on a full-time basis. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future full-time or part-time vacancies that arise over the next 12 months.
