Job title: Assistant Document Controller

Location:

Lochgilphead, PA31 8RR - Scotland (All onsite between the 3 locations)

Contract length:

End of December 2026 - Potential to go Permanent afterwards

Shift Pattern:

Monday - Friday 08.30am - 17.00pm

Balfour Beatty, an International Infrastructure group, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Document Controller to assist the Document Controller with workload and support in adhoc Admin duties. This is a triple sited position so you will need to drive and have your own vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for establishing governance and assuring data and information flow to and from Balfour Beatty (BIM 360 Docs), Client common data environments, and Subcontractor systems.
  • The Assistant Document Controller will assist the Document Controller with several projects/one project ensuring all project information is available and up to date on the digital systems in use (BIM360, SharePoint, Client EDMS). They will encourage collaborative working, information exchange and aid the project team throughout.
  • The Assistant Document Controller will provide Administration support to the team in forms of handling confidential data, emails, internal comms, filing and any adhoc project support.

Key Skills / Experience/ Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within a Document Control position is desirable.
  • Strong Admin skills including paper filing as well as electronic filing.
  • Previous use of an EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) is desirable.
  • Proficient I.T Skills.
  • Driving Licence and own Vehicle to get between sites.
  • Previous work experience within an Engineering/Industrial background would be beneficial.
