Overview

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Ecologist based in Lee on the Solent, Hampshire, to join our team. You will be involved in delivering professional ecological services to a diverse client base. As part of the role, you will deliver a variety of professional ecological services to a broad range of clients and assist the project and senior-level ecologists in carrying out services. Full training is provided.

Although this is predominantly a field-based role, Assistant Ecologists are expected to work within the office and field.

Qualifications

The following requirements are essential:

  • Relevant degree in a related field
  • Strong all-around field skills, particularly in flora and fauna identification
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team working skills as well as a positive attitude, self-disciplined, and a desire to learn and be challenged
  • Experience with protected species surveys, bat acoustic analysis, and/or QGIS welcomed but not required
  • A full driver's license
