About this Role
We are crewing up for Seasons 2 and 3 of our CG animated kids' series and are looking for an Assistant Editor to join our in-house editorial team in London. The role is for an organised, technically minded person with a passion for animation and editing.
Working with the Lead Editor and the Animatic Editors, you will keep the cutting room running smoothly across both seasons: managing media from dialogue records, boards and animatics through to finished shots from our animation studio partner, and preparing cuts for review, post production and delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain editorial projects, media and folder structures to the production's conventions
- Ingest, sync and organise dialogue records, storyboard exports, animatics and incoming shots
- Cut shots into the edit as they arrive from the animation studio, tracking versions and status
- Build temp sound and prepare cuts, exports and review movies for the Directors, Showrunner and Producers
- Prepare EDLs, turnovers and reference material for the animation studio, sound and picture post
- Work with the Production and Post Production Co-ordinators to keep shot tracking accurate
- Support conform, QC and deliverables preparation

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
