About The Role

What does the average day look like?

An average day involves supporting the inspection and assessment of railway assets, reviewing asset condition and maintenance trends, and helping to identify repair or renewal requirements. The role also includes providing technical support, developing engineering knowledge through training and practical experience, and maintaining records of professional development and progress.

Your experience and skills

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual who is keen to progress their career within railway engineering and work towards professional qualifications. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis, reporting and presentation skills, excellent communication abilities, and the confidence to contribute within committee meetings and other professional forums.

Applicants should hold an HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline, have some experience in Network Rail Asset Management, and possess an understanding of relevant policies and standards.

Essential Criteria

  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in relevant engineering discipline (Civil or Structural)
  • Initial experience in NR Asset Management
  • Understanding of relevant policies and standards
