You don’t need previous environmental or sustainability experience to apply. We will provide full training and support, making this an ideal opportunity for someone at the start of, or looking to start, their environmental & sustainability career.

Working alongside experienced environmental & sustainability professionals across a variety of construction & civil engineering projects, you will gain valuable practical experience while helping us maintain and continually improve our strong environmental management and sustainability culture.

As an Assistant Environmental & Sustainability Advisor, you will work closely with our Environmental & Sustainability Team and operational teams to:

  • Support E&S Advisors in promoting high standards of environment and sustainability across our projects and wider business.
  • Provide practical environmental and sustainability support to teams at all levels of the organisation.
  • Assist with environmental inspections, audits and incident investigations.
  • Support the development and implementation of environmental and sustainability initiatives and campaigns.
  • Develop your knowledge and experience through on-the-job learning and working alongside experienced environmental and sustainability professionals.
  • Work towards relevant environmental and sustainability qualifications as part of your professional development.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and committed to developing a career in Environmental Management & Sustainability.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A genuine interest in environmental management and sustainability, and a desire to develop a career within the profession.
  • An interest in working within the construction industry and promoting high environmental standards.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using technology.
  • A positive, proactive and hardworking approach.
  • The willingness to learn, develop new skills and undertake relevant professional qualifications.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to work with people at all levels.

Previous experience in construction or environmental and sustainability would be advantageous, but it is not essential. We are more interested in your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Your development

This role is designed to give you the knowledge, experience and support needed to progress into an Environmental and Sustainability Advisor role.

You’ll work alongside experienced members of our Environmental & Sustainability Team, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects, activities and environmental and sustainability challenges. We will support you in developing professionally and working towards relevant qualifications as you progress your career.
