Assistant Estimator | Refurbishment & Regeneration
We are working with a well-established contractor delivering refurbishment and regeneration projects across the social housing sector in London. They are looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Estimator to join their growing New Business/Preconstruction team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their estimating career who wants hands-on exposure to live tenders, subcontract procurement, and the full bid process within a supportive, experienced team.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the Estimating Team with the preparation and delivery of tender submissions
- Issuing and managing subcontractor and supplier package enquiries
- Analysing quotations and maintaining package comparison schedules
- Assisting with tender pricing documents, event schedules, and tender administration
- Supporting tender workshops, review meetings, and adjudication presentations
- Maintaining accurate tender records, correspondence, and cost information
- Identifying potential commercial, programme, and delivery risks during the tender process
- Building strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams

What you'll have:
- A construction-related degree, HNC/HND, or someone working towards a relevant qualification
- Some experience within construction, estimating, commercial, or preconstruction — whether through employment, placement, or internship — Ideally some experience in the regeneration/re-cladding sector.
- An understanding of subcontract procurement and tendering processes
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent Excel skills and a high level of attention to detail
- A proactive, dependable approach and the confidence to take ownership of tasks
- Social housing refurbishment or regeneration experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
