Assistant Executive Housekeeper

At Kimpton Fitzroy London, we are looking for an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to join our growing team.

A “London Hotel Like No Other,” Kimpton Fitzroy London is an iconic 19th-century building which meets the London of today: From the outside, this landmark building, which occupies the eastern side of Bloomsbury’s Russell Square, looks every bit the part of grande dame. As an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you’ll be 100% you, bringing your authentic personality to everything you do; be the ultimate host, confidently leading yourself and making creative decisions that elevate every interaction; and spark joy, using every tool available to craft meaningful and memorable experiences.

We are looking for an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support the Executive Housekeeper with the effective and efficient running of the housekeeping team, with direct accountability for defined processes within the department ensuring financial targets are achieved whilst maintaining the highest of standards to ensure guest expectation is consistently exceeded.

You will assist The Executive Housekeeper to ensure the housekeeping team maintain high-quality standards, ensure Housekeeping SOPs, IHG Brand Standards and agreed departmental standards are consistently followed, spot check the Floor Housekeeper / Room Attendant according to IHG standards whilst monitoring and checking the VIP arrival / ensuring housekeeping are meeting all requirements/ Front Office are being kept informed of status.

What we need from you:

  • To have led a team in a hotel department for 2+ years in a similar environment
  • Proven track record with success at coaching and training and implementation of process and audit
  • Proven record of self initiative and demonstrating capability to lead a team.
  • Demonstrates collaboration with other departments.
  • Shows awareness of market trends and has the ability to implement new initiatives.
  • Thorough knowledge of statutory regulations ensuring the business is always operated within the law.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Comfortable using hotel systems and Microsoft Office; experience with Opera and Unifocus is desirable.
  • Demonstrates relevant functional experience and good knowledge of relevant topics.
