Assistant Facilities Manager
Central London

My client is an independent property consultancy that manages a portfolio of commercial assets across London. The role
You'll be the Assistant Facilities Manager for a small portfolio of buildings, working closely with the Senior Facilities Manager and the Property Managers, who will support your development from day one. It's a varied, hands-on role that offers much wider exposure than a single-site position, with real scope to progress as the portfolio expands.

Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support across the portfolio
- Coordinate contractors and suppliers, and oversee planned and reactive maintenance
- Carry out regular site inspections and follow up on any actions
- Support health and safety and statutory compliance, including keeping records and audits up to date
- Act as a point of contact for occupiers, onsite teams and service partners
- Assist with service charge budgets, raising POs, invoice approvals and client reporting
- Support refurbishment works, occupier moves and small projects as needed
- Stand in for the Senior FM when required

About you
- Experience as an ABM, AFM or FM Coordinator or in a similar role within commercial property
- Good working knowledge of building services, maintenance and compliance
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to juggle several sites and priorities
- Confident communicator who builds strong relationships with occupiers and contractors
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (desirable)
- IWFM qualification, or willingness to work towards one (desirable)
