Assistant Facilities Manager (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: West End, Central London

Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits


Join the team behind a prestigious mixed-use asset in the heart of the West End.

We're seeking an ambitious and proactive Assistant Facilities Manager to join the on-site management team of a landmark, trophy commercial property in London's West End. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain experience on a high-profile, best-in-class asset, working alongside an experienced Facilities Manager to deliver an outstanding occupier experience.

This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in commercial property management within a premium environment where service excellence, sustainability, and operational performance are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

As Assistant Facilities Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operational management of the building, supporting the delivery of exceptional FM services while ensuring compliance, health & safety, and customer satisfaction remain a top priority. Working closely with occupiers, contractors, and the wider property management team, you'll help maintain the highest standards across this flagship asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day management of the property.
  • Build positive relationships with occupiers, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Coordinate and monitor specialist service partners, ensuring service levels and KPIs are consistently achieved.
  • Assist with contractor management, permits to work, and compliance documentation.
  • Support health & safety compliance, statutory inspections, and risk management processes.
  • Help oversee planned preventative maintenance and reactive works.
  • Assist with service charge administration, budgeting, and invoice processing.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and ESG objectives across the building.
  • Contribute to occupier engagement events and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Produce reports, maintain accurate records, and support operational audits.

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and eager to build a long-term career within commercial real estate.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Facilities Management or Property Management role.
  • Experience within commercial office environments.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building ability.
  • A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance (IOSH qualification desirable).
  • Working towards or interested in IWFM membership or qualifications.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and CAFM/property management systems.
