Viridien

Viridien (www.viridiengroup.com) is an advanced technology, digital and Earth data company that pushes the boundaries of science for a more prosperous and sustainable future. With our ingenuity, drive and deep curiosity we discover new insights, innovations, and solutions that efficiently and responsibly resolve complex natural resource, digital, energy transition and infrastructure challenges.

Ready to manage the infrastructure that keeps a business-critical scientific HPC data centre online 24/7?

As Assistant Facilities Manager (AFM) you will occupy a senior operational leadership role within the site facilities structure, providing advanced electrical authority, operational leadership, and strategic facilities management responsibility.

Acting as a deputy to the Facilities Manager in operational and technical areas, you will be responsible for supporting delivery of technical governance, operational performance, financial control, and the delivery of infrastructure projects within our business-critical data centre environment.

The role operates within a defined governance framework, with strategic oversight and final accountability retained by the Facilities Manager. It goes beyond supervision and requires the ability to lead the function, influence decision-making, manage budgets, and deliver complex programmes of work.

In addition to core facilities responsibilities, you will also provide cross-functional support into the Logistics and Procurement functions. You will be expected to step in to support and, where required, lead both Facilities and Logistics operations in the absence of the Facilities Manager, ensuring continuity of operational delivery across site services, material flow, and supply chain activities. The role also offers scope to support data alignment and reporting, working alongside the Data Management team to ensure accurate, meaningful data is captured across Facilities and Logistics operations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
