Rochdale Boroughwide Housing is looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner (Treasury & Business Planning) to join our Finance & Procurement team on a fixed-term basis until December 2027, to cover maternity leave.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone currently studying towards a professional accountancy qualification who wants to gain valuable experience in treasury management, financial planning, and regulatory reporting. You'll work alongside senior finance colleagues to support the delivery of robust financial plans that help shape the future of our organisation.

About the Role
As Assistant Finance Business Partner (Treasury & Business Planning), you will support the Finance Manager (Treasury & Business Planning) in providing high-quality treasury and business planning services across RBH.
Working with colleagues across the organisation and external stakeholders, you'll help develop and maintain business plans, support treasury reporting and cash flow management, contribute to regulatory returns, and ensure financial information is accurate, timely and insightful. This role offers exposure to key strategic activities that support the long-term financial sustainability of RBH.

- Supporting the preparation and maintenance of RBH and subsidiary business plans using Business Planning software.
- Assisting with financial modelling, stress testing and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Supporting quarterly and annual submissions to the Regulator.
- Preparing month-end treasury accruals, reconciliations and interest calculations.
- Monitoring treasury performance, supporting covenant compliance reporting and preparing monthly management information.
- Assisting with cash flow forecasting and liquidity monitoring to ensure effective treasury management.
- Supporting the production of reports for Board, Committees, Executive Leadership Team, lenders and regulators.
- Maintaining treasury records, including banking mandates, signatories and securitisation information.
- Preparing treasury-related returns and reports for lenders and external stakeholders.
- Reviewing bank reconciliations and monitoring outstanding transactions.
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements.
- Raising purchase orders and administering treasury-related expenditure.
- Providing cover and support for wider Treasury and Business Planning activities as required.
About You
You will be a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for delivering excellent financial services and building strong working relationships.
You will have:
- Experience working within a finance, accounting or business planning environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets and financial models.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Experience maintaining financial records, controls and reconciliations.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to service improvements and new initiatives.

Qualifications
Actively studying towards a recognised professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
