Assistant Finance Manager - TJX Operation in Crewe

Are you looking to develop your career within a large-scale logistics operation supporting a major retail customer?

Here at GXO, we're recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our TJX operation in Crewe. This is a full-time, permanent role, where you'll support the Finance Manager in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and providing commercial insight to operational teams. Working closely with site leadership, customers and finance stakeholders, you'll play a key role in ensuring financial performance is understood, reported and continuously improved.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Produce weekly and monthly management accounts, ensuring financial reporting is accurate, timely and aligned with business and customer requirements
  • Prepare accruals, prepayments, revenue reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with GXO financial controls and reporting standards
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis and performance commentary, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to enhance commercial and operational performance
  • Support budget and forecast preparation, working closely with operational teams to improve financial planning accuracy and business performance
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders and customers, providing meaningful financial insight and challenge to support decision-making and continuous improvement

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous experience within a finance, management accounting or commercial finance environment
  • Strong understanding of management accounting principles, financial controls and reporting processes
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and communicate findings clearly
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with systems such as Oracle, Lucanet, Blackline or similar financial platforms
  • Currently studying towards a professional accountancy qualification or working towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification
