We are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to support our Group Financial Controller in delivering accurate reporting, strong financial control and clear insight across a busy, multi-site business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in getting the detail right and wants to play a key role in shaping smarter, more efficient finance processes.
What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting packs.
- Supporting statutory accounts, audit activity, VAT, corporation tax and wider compliance requirements.
- Strengthening financial controls, governance and reporting processes across the Group.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and treasury activity.
- Providing clear financial insight to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Guiding and supporting colleagues within the Group Finance team.

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong post-qualification experience.
- A solid background in management accounts, financial accounts, reporting and reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and data.
- Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

Experience in a multi-site, group, retail, manufacturing, construction or home improvement environment would be advantageous, as would experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
