Assistant Financial Controller - Fulfilment Operations
Role Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Financial Controller/Management Accountant to support the financial performance of THG Ingenuity's fulfilment operations. This role plays a key part in operational costing, commercial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and business partnering across multiple fulfilment sites.
The successful candidate will work closely with Site Leads, Operational Leadership and Commercial teams to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, improve profitability and support strategic decision-making. The role will also support new client onboarding activities, ensuring operational requirements are understood and reflected within financial models and forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Business partner fulfilment Site Leads, supporting and challenging financial and operational performance.
- Own weekly forecasting processes & operational reporting for a designated fulfilment site.
- Produce and analyse Cost Per Unit (CPU) reporting, identifying risks and opportunities to improve profitability.
- Deliver weekly and monthly variance analysis against forecast, budget and prior year.
- Support annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting activities.
- Support financial requirements for new client onboarding and implementation projects.
- Review labour, warehousing and operational cost performance, driving accountability across sites.
- Assist with month-end activities, reporting and financial controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation and finance processes.
- Work with Operations, Commercial and Implementation teams to assess profitability and operational feasibility of new business opportunities.
- Assist in the development of client pricing models and fulfilment cost assumptions.

Skills & Experience
- Experience within Management Accounting, Financial Control, Commercial Finance or Operational Finance.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to interpret large data sets.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capability.
- Experience within logistics, fulfilment, warehousing or operational environments preferred.
- Studying towards, or qualified in, ACCA, CIMA or ACA desirable.
- Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, AI tools or data visualisation platforms.
