Sidmouth Harbour Hotel & Spa is a beautiful coastal hotel overlooking the Jurassic Coast, offering stylish accommodation, dining, events and spa experiences.
The role…
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team, with a particular focus on bar operations, social banqueting and weddings.
You will support the management of our bar and events operation, ensuring excellent service standards while playing a key role in delivering weddings, private functions, social events and banqueting. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences and thrives in a busy hotel environment.

You will have strong knowledge of cocktails, wines and spirits, excellent product knowledge and experience of events or banqueting. You will be confident leading a team, coordinating events from set-up through to close and working closely with the wider Food & Beverage and Events teams.
You will ideally have:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a bar, restaurant or hotel environment
- At least one year’s supervisory or Assistant Management experience
- Strong bar, cocktail and drinks knowledge
- Experience of restaurant service, weddings, events, banqueting or private functions
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A hands-on approach and the ability to motivate a team
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
