Assistant FP&A Analyst
Here at Peacocks we have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team at our Head Office in the centre of Cardiff. If you would like to be part of a forward-thinking, fast-paced business, are ambitious and want to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
With a store portfolio of c335 stores plus our expanding E-Commerce business, this role reports into the FP&A manager and is key in analysing and reporting the performance of all parts of the business.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the reporting of the daily sales and margin performance
- Assist in the preparation and production of the weekly trading slides
- Participate in the development of annual budgets, forecasts and latest views
- Prepare draft store, E-Commerce, warehouse and head office information to assist in the production of P&Ls and KPI analysis
- Preparation of monthly store P&L reporting packs
- Assist with the production of the Quarterly Regional Review packs
- Assist with providing management insight on Stores and E-Commerce financial performance in a clear and concise manner
- Review, analyse and assist in the sign-off of month-end Stores & E-Commerce costs
- Assist Regional and Store Managers with any P&L queries
- Ad-hoc trading analysis of promotions / offers

An ambitious individual with a keen interest to learn the dynamics of a fast-paced retail business.
- Self-motivated with a desire to develop skills and knowledge.
- Shows an interest in or is actively studying towards a professional qualification - e.g. CIMA or ACCA
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with handling large volumes of data
- Flexible & diplomatic in approach
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to interact with financial and non-financial stakeholders across the business, on a variety of both financial and non-financial matters.
