Front Office Assistant Manager

Here at Delta Hotels By Marriott Tudor Park Country Club, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Front Office Assistant Manager to join our hotel team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting the successful operation of a busy Front Office department.

Working closely with the Front Office Manager, you will help lead the reception team, drive service excellence, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the front desk. You will be a hands-on leader, setting high standards, supporting team development, and creating memorable experiences for every guest.

The Impact You'll Make

As Front Office Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping our guests' journey from arrival to departure. You will lead by example, ensuring every interaction is welcoming, professional, and personalised. By supporting and motivating the Front Office team, you will help create an outstanding guest experience while maintaining operational excellence and achieving business goals.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Front Office Manager in the daily operation of the Reception and Front Office department.
  • Lead and supervise the Front Office team, ensuring exceptional guest service at all times.
  • Welcome guests and oversee smooth and efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor room allocations and work closely with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are prepared for arrival.
  • Ensure all reservations, room assignments, billing, and payment processes are completed accurately.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and developing team members to support performance and engagement.
  • Manage staffing levels, shift planning, and departmental communication when required.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement service improvements where appropriate.
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, health and safety, and brand standards are maintained.
  • Support with daily reports, revenue maximisation, and departmental administration.
  • Act as the department lead in the absence of the Front Office Manager.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Front Office Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or similar hotel leadership role.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A positive, professional, and guest-focused approach.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with hotel property management systems; Opera PMS experience would be advantageous.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of hotel operations.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Hours

This is a full-time position working 40+ hours per week, depending on the needs of the business. The role involves a mixture of early and late shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is essential. As part of the Front Office leadership team, you will be expected to adapt to the operational requirements of the hotel to ensure exceptional guest service is delivered at all times.
